CORRFLEXO applies Titanium Nitrides (TiN) as a ceramic coating to improve the surface properties of slotting, slitting and bottom knives used in the corrugated board industry. The metallic gold colour indicates a coating of extreme hardness. This provides for high heat, wear and corrosion resistance and improves the life time of any knife. Moreover, the titanium coated knives can be run at more aggressive speeds and feeds. There is a significant cost saving effect resulting from lesser machine settings as compared with the employ of uncoated tool steel knives.

Superior hardness & longer lasting cutting edges

The high micro-hardness provides excellent abrasion resistance, and the lower coefficient allows the cutting edge to stay longer sharp. The lower coefficient of friction means there is less resistance during the cut, therefore, less heat is generated. Heat build-up being an important factor in cutting edge break-down.
